The Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra
The Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, founded in 1982, devotes itself to performing dance music of the 18th and 19th centuries in Europe and around the world. The orchestras repertoire includes compositions from the Strauss dynasty and its contemporaries, music from Robert Stolz and popular pieces from operettas. He is professor of music at the Vienna Music University, as well a co-founder and musical director of the Lower Austria summer operetta festival. His musical education includes training at the Vienna Boys Choir, as well as the Vienna Academy of Music and Performing Arts. He is the orchestra conductor for the Vienna Boys Choir, a rehearsal accompanist at the Vienna State Opera, and has also served as musical assistant to Karl Böhm, Lorin Maazel and James Levine at the Salzburg Festival.Broadway Big Band
Gerhard Aflenzer studied jazz trumpet at the Vienna City Conservatorium.In 1995, he founded the Broadway Big Band with professional musicians and gave highly successful guest performances with his orchestra at balls, gala events and concerts in Austria and abroad. When choosing the dance programme, the band leader made sure to present a varied and high-quality repertoire of sophisticated dance music, including both Standard and Latin-American dances. Gerhard Aflenzer also does not forget modern songs and includes some current hits for the audience.

Dance has been part of this former tournament dancer's life since childhood. After a children's dance group, rock'n'roll training, acrobatics and jazz dance, he spent several years intensively training in London. A member of the Austrian national team and several times Viennese champion. After the end of his tournament participation, he became a certified dance teacher and trainer and, since 2007, has been the federal trainer of the Austrian Dance Association.Compañía Flamenca de Juan Polvillo
Juan Polvillo will be sure to create a passionate atmosphere in the Concordia 2012 Ballroom with his group Compañía Flamenca.Fervent song, accompanied by the rhythms of the Spanish guitar, stamping feet and the staccato of clapping hands surround the dance performance, Aire Flamenco.
Juan Polvillo is world renowned for his unique dance style a combination of modern art and traditional Flamenco. He has performed for the Spanish royal family and their State guests which included the king of Jordan as well as Marocco, the previous US president George Bush and his holiness the Pope.
His Dance art is also admired in the most important Tablaos (Flamenco shows) as well as the in the Film Sevillanas byCarlos Saura.
Numerous awards distinguish Polvillo as Flamenco- Dancer and Teacher and he has a growing Vienna fan-base who has had the privilege of experiencing Flamenco Dance workshops with him.
